- ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪I was there in the food court with my son and husband, (which we are native American) and we were getting seated to eat, and a group of nurses kept staring and my family and I and made some terrible comments about how much they hate Native Americans. Then when I was in the doctors office I was second in line to make my sons next appointment, then I just got skipped so I left and told the lady at the front desk to have her call me to schedule my sons next visit. It was my first time going to that hospital for my son today, and honestly I don't want to take him back there with how disrespected I felt with my whole first visit. - ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪My son was born prematurely (very unexpectedly). The NICU at Helen DeVos is phenomenal! It is extremely hard to have your baby in the hospital, but HDVCH makes it as easy as they possibly can. The care is wonderful, and the nurses have so much love and care for their tiny patients.January 12, 2017by Sheri Monroe
